Our History

Monroe Bakery has been a beloved part of the Dearborn community for over four decades. Founded in the early 1980s, the bakery began as a small corner shop on Monroe Street, built on the traditions of old-world European baking.

With a focus on handmade breads, buttery pastries, and time-honored recipes, Monroe Bakery quickly became a morning ritual for local families. As the years passed, what started with a simple loaf of sourdough and a tray of fresh donuts grew into a full menu of cakes, cookies, sweet rolls, and custom seasonal treats — all made with the same care and quality that built our name.

Even today, the smell of fresh bread and brewed coffee drifting through the neighborhood still means one thing: Monroe Bakery is open and baking.
